Religious Hatred is OK, But Racism is Bad?
On here. Why is that?

Just seen a thread about white people and it gets locked 8 posts in. I didnt actually see a racist comment in the posts so im assuming it was the OP that did it.

But there are plenty of threads where people openly spout hatred about Islam, muslims and other religions and their followers, but mainly the former group.

The WHO policy clearly states not to post material based on creed/culture etc. But its clearly done, in abundance. Its quite rare for an Islam bashing thread to get locked.

Any reason for this inconsistency? Mods, care to explain your guidelines and compass on this?

you can't choose your colour or change it

unless you're Michael Jackson

but you can choose whether to believe in made up fairy tales

Ironically, unless some of those fairy stories are true, you don't actually get to choose anything.

I'd like to state that I am not racist but I am a hater of religion. That is religions of all types and from my limited experience that's Islam and Christianity. Cunts of limited mentality the lot of them....

Re: Religious Hatred is OK, But Racism is Bad?
Let me clarify.

I am aware that religion and colour are not the same thing.

But there are different types of discrimination, hatred etc Whether its racial, disability, sexuality, gender, nationality, religion, creed etc.

They are not all exactly the same. Im asking why its OK to spout open hatred against one thing, but seen as taboo and bad to do it to another. In the eyes of the law you can get done for actions or speech against any of those groups.

Its also in the WHO policy so the question is also directed at the mods.

I do not understand where i put a foot wrong i am asking a question i have not been racist or nasty i have simply stated some facts on a few possible lets say injustices against Black people and would genuinly like to know what people think especially white people.
I am not saying that white people are 100% evil and racist i am simply putting a question out there to be disected on the things that go on in this planet we call earth.
People are allowed to be unbelievably disrespectful toward religion on here, many would argue that they are racist too and biggoted in their views, even laughing and having a joke about the death of children is allowed but a serious if slightly edgy question that is not remarkable is blocked within a second.
Given that the moderator of westhamonline may too be of a white skin, why does he then allow religions or other races to be mocked openly yet cannot take the fact of the white populace even being questioned about some of their actions in the world ?.
It is not my type of language but i get the feeling that maybe some like to give it but taking is out of the question even though my thread headline was not a direct accusation of fact.

Just being silly

No, it's not silly. You choose to be religious just as you choose to be a cyclist. You don't choose the colour of your skin.

There is more than one Mod you know.

There is a veritable Pantheon of them in fact.

We live in a 'fairly' secular society. That means respecting other people's right to freedom of speech, freedom of expression and freedom to believe whatever they will. It does not mean, that I have to respect that belief, or their speech.
IMO, we should tolerate most things, but definitely does not mean, that we tolerate intolerance.
Some religious extremists, are intolerant and would change our education and legal systems, to suit their religious beliefs. I/we are allowed to criticise that. It has nothing to do with skin tone and there is only one race; the human race, or Homo sapiens sapiens.

Actually there have been many many threads about Islam locked on here over the years.

Re: Religious Hatred is OK, But Racism is Bad?
Thread headline;( Are most white people intrinsically evil and racist) Not they are, but ARE . How touchy do you have to be not to understand i am asking a question not stating a bloody fact.
What i find disturbing is that if one reads the thread it is not in any way disrespectful or racist unless you think that black people do not matter, so i feel whoever locked it must be racist.

Organ - so the 'hatred' towards religions bothers you, and you consider tolerance of religious 'hatred' by the mods on here to be hypocritical.

Any reason why you haven't noticed or been bothered by the culture of mysogyny on this site?

Not bothered by it?

Some forms of 'hate' a bit more 'hatey' than others for you?

Bore off and let people discuss what they want to discuss.

Re: Religious Hatred is OK, But Racism is Bad?
As some have pointed out. "hate" for someone's skin colour is clearly ludicrious. Especialy when many pasty "white" people go tan crazy at every opportunity.

I don't "hate" any religion. It's their "belief", and can carry on believing. I just hate some people who commit utter atrocity on fellow human beings in the name of "religion".

Christianity started it. But christianity has "grown up." Some Islamists appear to believe it is still the 14th century. Getting revenge.

Nothing has ever bothered me enough on here, to start a pissy thread aimed at mods, about something I don't like/agree with. Ged would just blank me anyway.
